Adaora Offor

Adaora Offor (Esq) is a barrister, philanthropist and the current vice president of the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation (SEOF), a charity that seeks to lessen the suffering of the less fortunate in society with the primary goal of providing assistance and hope to those who are in need.

As vice president, Mrs AO has collaborated with numerous organisations, including; the Polio Survivors Group, Books of Africa, Rotary International, MedShare-ALT, USA, MAP-USA, UNICEF, federal ministry of health, NAPTIPs(Human trafficking), and many more to reach communities and improve lives.

About AO.

Mrs AO prides herself in being a lifelong learner and after receiving her call to the bar in Nigeria, she has gone on to pursue her professional interests with certifications from KLC School of Design in London and Harvard Business School (online).

Her decade-long career covers various sectors including; law, travel & tourism, business and charity. She has practised law as a barrister of the courts of Nigeria, effectively implemented people and resource management skills as head of HR, and delivered business leadership as the managing director of The Travel Place.

Her achievements demonstrate her focus on getting things done and her ability to work against the odds for the best results.

The work she does shows her commitment to the development of society, particularly in the areas of education, health, empowerment and human development.

Under her leadership, the charity efforts of the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation (SEOF) has benefited many local communities; especially women, widows, and young people. The reach of the foundation has influenced healthcare and schools across Nigeria.

Adaora is passionate about standing for and cares about what will make women better.

As a devout Christian, this scripture stands as her foundation. She believes that the thoughts and plans God thinks towards us are good. She finds comfort in knowing that because He has a plan, there is always hope. She holds onto this by not writing anyone off, as she believes that because God created someone there’s always a future for them.

Career.

As the current vice president of the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation (SEOF), she oversees the running, resources and work the charity delivers.

For the last 8 years, she has been the Managing Director of The Travel Place LTD, catering to a variety of clients from the public and private sector. The Travel Place Ltd is a reputable travel solution provider encompassing a travel agency, tour operations and corporate travel management. They also offer specialist services such as private jets, passport process and cargo.

Early on in her career, she worked as a human resource manager, gaining professional experience accommodating and managing people at a multi-billion dollar business.

She co-founded Maine Solicitors in 2017 with her partner.

Education.

Over the last 3 years, she has completed online courses at Harvard Business School (online) in:
  • Entrepreneurship Essentials (July 2022)
  • Management Essentials (May 2021)
  • Sustainable Business Strategy, (May 2022)
After developing an interest in interior design, she achieved a certificate in Interior Decoration from the KLC School of Design, London in 2010. Mrs AO holds a law degree from the University of Nigeria. She graduated from law school in 2007 and got called to the Nigerian Bar in 2009.
